Sunflower oil is low in saturated fat and high in Vitamin E. Vitamin E is an antioxidant that protects the body’s cells from premature aging. Vitamin E is found naturally in certain foods; according to the USDA Nutrient Database, sunflower oil naturally contains high levels of vitamin E. There is as much as twelve times more vitamin E in sunflower than in any other oil.
